The spectral dimension in 2D CDT gravity coupled to scalar fields

چکیده
Causal Dynamical Triangulations (CDT) provide a non-perturbative formulation of Quantum Gravity assuming the existence of a global time foliation. In our earlier study we analyzed the effect of including d copies of a massless scalar field in the two-dimensional CDT model with imaginary time. For d > 1 we observed the formation of a “blob”, somewhat similar to that observed in four-dimensional CDT without matter. In the two-dimensional case the “blob” has a Hausdorff dimension DH = 3. In this paper we study the spectral dimension DS of the two-dimensional CDT-universe, both for d = 0 (pure gravity) and d = 4. We show that in both cases the spectral dimension is consistent with DS = 2. 1 ar X iv :1 41 2. 34 34 v1 [ gr -q c] 1 0 D ec 2 01 4

The Spectral Dimension of 2D Quantum Gravity
We show that the spectral dimension ds of two-dimensional quantum gravity coupled to Gaussian fields is two for all values of the central charge c ≤ 1. The same arguments provide a simple proof of the known result ds = 4/3 for branched polymers. email [email protected] email [email protected] email [email protected] email [email protected] email [email protected] 1

متن کاملbeta functions of a scalar theory coupled to gravity.
We study a scalar field theory coupled to gravity on a flat background, below Planck’s energy. Einstein’s theory is treated as an effective field theory. Within the context of Wilson’s renormalization group, we compute gravitational corrections to the beta functions and the anomalous dimension of the scalar field, taking into account threshold effects.

As an extension of our previous study, we derive slow-roll conditions for multiple scalar fields which are non-minimally coupled with gravity and for generalized gravity theories of the form f(φ,R). We provide simple formulae of the spectral indices of scalar/tensor perturbations in terms of the slow-roll parameters. متن کاملGeneralized 2d dilaton gravity with matter fields
We extend the classical integrability of the CGHS model of 2d gravity [1] to a larger class of models, allowing the gravitational part of the action to depend more generally on the dilaton field and, simultaneously, adding fermion– and U(1)–gauge–fields to the scalar matter. On the other hand we provide the complete solution of the most general dilaton–dependent 2d gravity action coupled to chi...
